Sweet and clean Miro experience.
Overall Satisfaction with Miro
I am a student who owns a social focused startup providing computer infrastructure and digital learning programs for rural schools in Ghana. Miro is the go-to software for my team's brainstorming sessions and there are several reasons for this. Firstly, Miro provides free professional and high-end diagramming on an educational plan which my team and I have capitalized on to get work done. Secondly, Miro's diagramming tools are intuitive and the software interface is clean with multiple features that allow you to customize this appearance to your liking e.g. turning on and off the grid. Next, we love the infinite diagramming space as it allows us to put all our designs in one place. Next, Miro has high quality, diverse, and relevant diagrams which simplify the diagramming and design processes from brainstorming trees, fish-borne diagrams, Business Model Canva, which we use for our business conceptualization to rich icons from popular platforms like Amazon and Google, which allow us to integrate these relevant icons within designs for more intuitive diagraming. Miro also includes concepts from other popular design software like grouping items and locking positions which simplifies the learning curve and whole design process. Lastly, Miro facilitates live teamwork in a fun way with real-time reactions.
Pros
- Clean and customizable interface.
- Infinite design board which allows all designs in one place.
- Simplified diagramming: features like grouping and locking designs.
- Team collaboration through real-time interactions.
- AI designing
Cons
- AI designs still need more tweaking to produce quality that matches with Miro's other design standard.
- It would be great if the cap on the number of team members we can collaborate with on the education plan could be increased to at least 20.
- Improved productivity. We now use Miro to do all our business model conceptualization due to its simplicity, real-time collaboration, infinite design space, and rich expressiveness
We literally have a Miro board live in many of our remote meetings these days. We are able to collaborate meaningfully even long after the web-conferencing meeting (usually Zoom, or Google Meet) de-activates.
