Overall Satisfaction with Miro
Miro is mainly used for creativity. When we have a problem to solve, we conduct a workshop, use Miro to gather all the artifacts and present the problem statement and the data we have collected. We then either use a template or Post-it notes to conduct a user-centric design canvas so we can identify possible solutions.
Pros
- Template library.
- Flowcharts
- Lean coffees.
- Voting
Cons
- Easy to copy paste between microsoft apps and maintain formatting.
- Uniform sizing across boards.
- Easier to manage access and providing and removing access.
- Improved collaboration.
- Increased participation from all.
- Improved efficiency.
As mentioned previously, we use it often to gather all the information on a project or problem statement before presenting it to all the collaborators. We then do collective ideation to come up with solutions or identify risks and blockers and use more frames to further explore these solutions or problem areas.
Visio seems to be limited to flow charts or process flows, which was great, but it's very limited to that and often has loads of syncing issues. Miro opened up the possibility to not only use flow charts but also take collaboration to a new level. They continuously add features like hiding panels, the ability to vote, timers, etc.
