Overall Satisfaction with Miro
I primarily use Miro with my clients during workshops for brainstorming and ideation and prioritization. It’s been particularly helpful during workshops with a higher number of participants, as Miro enables my team to capture perspectives for a large group, even if we are short on time and everyone isn’t able to verbally share their thoughts.
Pros
- Brainstorming and ideation: being able to add sticky notes enables large groups of participants to share thoughts
- Prioritization: having the ability to vote, work with the matrix templates, and comment/react to other participants is essential
- Support: Miro’s support/help pages are unmatched. It’s so easy to see exactly what functionality I will have access to depending on my plan. When running workshops with clients, it’s important to feel confident and knowledgeable about Miro so this is a huge plus.
Cons
- I’d love to see Miro have more analytical ability. I know Miro partners with Mentimeter, but many of my clients are apprehensive to use Miro within Mentimeter (some older generations are scared to use more than one platform). I’d love to have Miro tally votes or include more interactive activities with analysis like Menti does.
- Sticky note sizes are SO frustrating sometimes. I’m still learning and may just be ignorant here, but it would be great to have a way to fully customize whiteboards and frames for all screen sizes. I can make a 16:9 frame and build in it to export to PPT, but if my colleagues or clients join on an iPad or laptop, it’s challenging for them to keep up. Would love to see automatic resizing.
- A CHRO was on her laptop during a session and had to zoom in and out consistently to keep up with us. She was very unhappy.
- I use it for prioritizing/time management with my teams and it has enabled us to be more effective. Since it is fun to use, my team is more likely to be consistent about checking schedules and prioritizing at the beginning of the week and also reviewing and updating at the end of the week.
My team uses it for prioritizing their own personal time (Kaban).
I collaborate with clients and it has been a very easy tool to use. Clients always enjoy it, well, almost always. Miro saves me a ton of time because it is easy for me to use and build for speed.

I use Miro for whiteboarding and Menti for analyses/voting.
Miro’s voting feature isn’t great and requires a lot of manual effort on the back end to pull any data from. I’d love to see Miro expand this functionality so I can use one platform for all of my workshop needs.
