Brainstorms and Brain dumps
Overall Satisfaction with Miro
We use Miro for all of our journey mapping. We have also used it for strategy sessions, brain-storming sessions and different design thinking tactics. I am using Miro to lead our design thinking community of practice as well to both run the meeting and document it over time. I find Miro helpful when absorbing lots of information over time as a place to brain dump and later sort and ingest the information in a way that captures thoughts and content, later turning them into insights!
Pros
- Journey Mapping
- Brainstorming
- Data Dumping and Organizing
Cons
- I am struggling with organization right now in creating a source of truth for all journey maps.
- Change management is hard- many team members resist using this tool. I'm not sure the wish here but I wish it were easier to adopt across teams.
- It takes a lot of manual work and moves to get my miro boards to a presentable format. It might be helpful to translate miro boards into decks or more consumable content.
- Transferring real time data into journey maps- this may be a feature I just don't have access to yet.
- I am excited to start using the copilot in Miro!
- Improved productivity with brainstorming and journey mapping sessions
- Ability to convert working sessions to virtual quickly without losing the impact.
- Reduced costs of traveling in person for workshops.
People are more willing to participate in journey mapping sessions and workshops if offered virtually, especially with many employees working primarily from home. Miro makes it easy and even fun to hold these sessions virtually.
