Overall Satisfaction with Miro

Remote brainstorming work, synthesis of interview findings, deck buildout, vision boarding. It addresses the fact that we can't always be post-it-ing in the same place, and also enhances our ability to visually collaborate on vision boards without printouts. I've also used it for client workshopping, and journey mapping.

Pros

  • Live collaboration
  • Freeform organization of ideas/creation of frameworks
  • Image importing
  • Flow charts

Cons

  • Need sort functions
  • Need invisible borders
  • Alphabetical sort of stickies
  • Font customization for branded work
  • Better sentiment analysis - it has never worked for me
  • Kanban sort
  • Better remote work flexibility
  • Improved productivity
  • Truly collaborative brainstorms
  • Quicker synthesis
Only a few of the integrations I've tried have worked. Font input doesnt work, adobe doesn't work.
Hugely - we have a crossnational and international team of researchers and wouldn't be able to do what we do without Miro. We also have been able to have interactive client brainstorms fully remotely, OR half-remote half-in person and have actual participation from the remote participants. We've even done remote cardsorts

Do you think Miro delivers good value for the price?

Not sure

Are you happy with Miro's feature set?

Yes

Did Miro live up to sales and marketing promises?

I wasn't involved with the selection/purchase process

Did implementation of Miro go as expected?

I wasn't involved with the implementation phase

Would you buy Miro again?

Yes

I've recommended it to teachers, other researchers, writers, artists, inventors, small businesses, students. I love Miro and it facilitates the way my brain thinks without me needing the real estate I typically need for brainstorming (e.g. a whole room, a whole wall.) It is unique in its capability and simplicity.
