Overall Satisfaction with Miro

We use Miro for design purposes.
We have a need: to be able to lay down information, to articulate it together, to create proposals and have visibility.
We also need to be able to collaborate on one same board, at the same time, without any conflict.
We also need to have it be compatible with people working from home and working at the office.
Miro answers well all these problems and needs!

Pros

  • Miro provides a large space to work, allowing creativity without any limited frame.
  • Miro is easy to apprehend and understand. It is intuitive.
  • Miro allows a real-time sharing and collaborating without any charging time or delay.
  • Miro offers tools to organize and present designs in a clear way.

Cons

  • Miro could expand the limit of characters of a board to allow even more content to be added.
  • Miro frames are sometimes complicated to use. Moving one doesn't always moves all of its content at the same time. Also, it would be awesome to create frames into frames for classification.
  • Miro tables could be improved with more features that resemble an Excel document (Sort, Formulas, etc)
  • Miro facilitates hybrid work meetings (people at the office and people working from home).
  • It reduces times of work reviews and the number of documentation that would need to be done if we didn't have it (that takes time too).
  • Working on a collaborative tool like Miro encourages transparency and sharing of informations.
Miro impacted positively our ability to collaborate on projects.
It allows people to work in real-time, while in different countries and timezones.
It also provides a safe basis of work for the whole team, encouraging creativing and ideas proposals.
It's also a good way to present work for reviews and have immediate feedback on it.

Do you think Miro delivers good value for the price?

Not sure

Are you happy with Miro's feature set?

Yes

Did Miro live up to sales and marketing promises?

I wasn't involved with the selection/purchase process

Did implementation of Miro go as expected?

I wasn't involved with the implementation phase

Would you buy Miro again?

Yes

Miro is a great tool for creative design in many, if not all steps of production:
- brainstorming and putting ideas on "paper"
- organizing and make a design proposal
- follow-up production progress.

Miro's only flaw resides in its main quality; freedom and space to work in often lead to a lot of "background noise", frames or post-its that stay within the main work's orbit. It could be interesting to have the board signal content that hasn't been touched in a while, or to create a "backstage" side to a board where we put unused content that we still need to keep.
