Overall Satisfaction with Miro

Discovery, collaboration with partners and stakeholders. Helps us as a remote company align on overall vision and goals for our product work.

Pros

  • Real-time collaboration
  • User flows / maps
  • Templates

Cons

  • Smoother interactions – feels jumpy compared to FigJam
  • UI / controls could be improved
  • More advanced visual controls - dropshadows pls!!!
  • Easy collaboration
  • Goal and vision alignment
  • Share work / thoughts
Yes - it's made it much easier for our team that's distributed across the world to collaborate together and align on overall vision, strategy, business goals, user needs and approach for execution. It's definitely helped us be a more effective organization. A solid tool for remote / distributed teams to use.
I did not select Miro - it was the company that selected this tool. As a designer, I still much prefer FigJam – it has a smoother overall experience and the interactions are more intuitive and natural feeling. While Miro does the job, I still think I prefer FigJam's more advanced capabilities geared towards designers.

Do you think Miro delivers good value for the price?

Not sure

Are you happy with Miro's feature set?

Yes

Did Miro live up to sales and marketing promises?

I wasn't involved with the selection/purchase process

Did implementation of Miro go as expected?

I wasn't involved with the implementation phase

Would you buy Miro again?

Yes

Miro is great to work with other non-designer stakeholders to quickly collaborate, but is not as powerful or intuitive as FigJam. Templates are great, and stakeholders seem to be able to pick it up easily. For designers, the experience falls a bit short - especially considering it's an older tool.
