Overall Satisfaction with Miro

We use Miro to help our global team collaborate on brainstorming and project management. We needed a way to express ourselves in free-space thinking and do so simultaneously with colleagues around the world. We use it for our innovation process facilitation and everyday project management. It's been a great way to get ideas rolling!

Pros

  • Miro is flexible and can be used with several different types of interactive exercises.
  • Miro helps make things visual that in other environments/platforms is not possible (such as project management software).
  • We often use the features like private mode, the timer, background music, etc. to help give a gamified feeling to our work.

Cons

  • Some features are not as adaptable as they could be. For instance, the dot tool can't change colors or the number of dots, which limits the times/places I can use it.
  • Sometimes, I wish Miro would 'auto-complete' some of the things it sees me building. If it could intuitively pick up on some of the features and then suggest the next shapes/steps, things could move quickly.
  • For some of my colleagues who are not very tech-literate (and not English as a first language), Miro feels intimidating at first. I wish there were some very basic tutorials I could point them to (maybe they are there, but I can't find any that suit what we need).
  • It's had a positive effect on us, as we've used it to increase our team's engagement in innovation and collaboration.
  • Miro gives more voices to people who didn't have a say before.
We integrate it with Asana, and it works well. The only challenge is that it doesn't show up if someone is not signed in or part of your team or your board access settings are wrong. It should show up if you've linked a board to the Asana task/project.
I've shared this in previous responses, but Miro has increased the 'voice of the team' and allowed us all to have a say and integrate new perspectives that we were not captured before. We really enjoy the ability to brainstorm together and allow others to see what the sentiment is across the team, etc.
We like Miro's user interface and user experience. It's less clunky and prettier.

Do you think Miro delivers good value for the price?

Not sure

Are you happy with Miro's feature set?

No

Did Miro live up to sales and marketing promises?

Yes

Did implementation of Miro go as expected?

Yes

Would you buy Miro again?

Yes

I really like Miro and I haven't found a tool similar to it (Mural, Box Whiteboard, etc.) that are as user-friendly and have the tools and aesthetic that Miro has. We've used it extensively over the last several years and I love being able to quickly start a new board and immediately start using it to brainstorm or create frameworks, visuals, processes, etc. that will support my team.
