Overall Satisfaction with Miro
I use Miro for personal brainstorming and organizing my thoughts, product ideation with my product teams, and product management for existing products. For product ideation, I facilitate meetings with stakeholders and document our ideas and plans using Miro templates. For product management, we primarily use templates to manage the scope, timeline and milestones for products in development.
Pros
- Great choice of templates
- Very easy to use for our teams - easy to pick up for newbies and fun to use
- Great collaboration features to get everyone in the tool and brainstorming at the same time
Cons
- Nothing at this point. I wouldn't call myself an advanced user so I likely don't have many missing needs.
- The editing toolsuite seems to be sufficient for what I need.
- In comparing to Mural, I think Miro has better templates.
- Positive - improved productivity by really forcing employees to stick to an exercise to organize thoughts rather than leaving it nebulous and working in our own systems.
We haven't used it as a team much, but it was very helpful to get our stakeholders, product managers, and devs on the same team during brainstorming. It revealed hinderances and forced us to think through them logically, rather than just holding it in.
Miro is mostly identical to Mural but I felt Miro had better templates and was possibly a bit easier to use. I have product teams that use Mural and some that prefer Miro.
Lucidchart is more of a pointed use case. It does charting better if I need more advanced features but Miro is usually sufficient for the basic charting needs.
