Overall Satisfaction with Miro

We use Miro for a variety of different projects. It's beneficial, especially for hybrid projects where some people work from home or another office. From workshops to gather information from all involved stakeholders to personal projects to create small sketches of customer journeys that I can use as a topic starter.

Pros

  • Hybrid workshops.
  • Customer journey mapping.
  • Easy access for people both within and outside the organisation.
  • Easy to use, even for those who never worked with Miro before.
  • Voting system.

Cons

  • Difficult to draw (especially simple straight lines).
  • Limitations with shapes and border-radius (of course, it's not Figma, but sometimes you want to create a quick wireframe).
  • Loading images, sometimes the image is too large. Would be cool to resize on the go.
  • Less transportation = less costs (bringing people in from other countries for a 2-hour workshop).
  • Faster mind mapping and customer journey creation with provided templates in Miro (less time fiddling around in Figma to create a mind map or customer journey).
As previously stated, it helped us a lot. Especially in hybrid workshops where not everyone is able to join the workshop in our office.

Do you think Miro delivers good value for the price?

Yes

Are you happy with Miro's feature set?

Yes

Did Miro live up to sales and marketing promises?

Yes

Did implementation of Miro go as expected?

I wasn't involved with the implementation phase

Would you buy Miro again?

Yes

Miro is perfect for (hybrid) online workshops combined with either Teams or Zoom. It's also great to quickly start a mind map and sketch and map some ideas on a personal board. It's not Figma or Sketch, so you cannot create detailed wireframes or concepts with the provided tools.
