Overall Satisfaction with Miro

I lead a strategy practice across 6 offices, with additional collaborators from other offices from or 50 office firm and considering our clients and external partner. We are highly decentralized and asynchronous in our workflow. We require tools that allow generative and evaluative thinking, collaboration, presentation, etc and have Miro to be the most robust suite of tools available, with adequate interface and features, reliability...!

Pros

  • Introduction of new tools that appear relevant to designers, professionals, creatives... you are clearing working hard to keep our toolkit expansive
  • Some of the little considerations like Private Mode helps with hosting sensitive conversations that benefit from confidentiality
  • UX is playful enough to keep the space fresh and activity engaging without losing face with clients by using something "silly" or unprofessional

Cons

  • extracting pdf presentations is not reliable
  • lately Miro has felt unstable and glitchy
  • text boxed dont allow multiple users to input content simultaneously
  • undo is not reliable and, on an ipad, has caused real problems - mass deletion of content or duplication of content via an unintended copy-all before the action.
  • efficiency
  • borderless collaboration
  • co-creation with clients
  • more creative workflow
  • less siloed teammates - in their own computer
  • visibility to workflow in real time for clients and project leadership
We are a large firm and Miro has aided our borderless collaboration - we staff the right people, not the local team, we have visibility into work outside our own projects which accelerates learning and growth, we can onboard clients into a co-creation process and elevate their sense of ownership, buy-in, awareness of the project in real time....!

Do you think Miro delivers good value for the price?

Yes

Are you happy with Miro's feature set?

Yes

Did Miro live up to sales and marketing promises?

Yes

Did implementation of Miro go as expected?

I wasn't involved with the implementation phase

Would you buy Miro again?

Yes

well suited for decentralized teams who are savvy with virtual tools and value workflow agreements, organization, content development...

not well suited when teammates just product, produce, produce without regard for workspace hygiene, workflow norms adopted by the team, etc. boards can get messy, heavy, harmful to project progress fast when bad actors create a landfill of artifacts
