Overall Satisfaction with Miro

I use Miro for several use cases: to centralize all the information around the team I manage (e.g., quarter planning, allocation); to add and discuss research findings with people who prefer a more visual format; to write thoughts; to organize workshops, kick-off sessions and post-research exercises with stakeholders. Miro is a great collaboration tool in all these use cases, and its boards are a good go-to-place to find centralized information.

Pros

  • Templates: a lot of options that cover all the use cases I need.
  • Real-time collaboration: extremely useful for collaborative meetings.
  • Very useful to visualize findings, namely for doing affinity diagrams.

Cons

  • You could add the option to record voice comments.
  • When writing in a shape (e.g., in a square) or in a text box, being able to set margins for the text.
  • When selecting a lot of objects, being smart to detect which ones have text. Sometimes I do that because I want to change the font type, for example, but if there are no-text objects among the selected, I can't do that.
  • Seamless collaboration
  • Improved productivity due to centralized information
  • Improved productivity to the ease of building an affinity diagram
It has impacted greatly. Like I said before, one of Miro's greatest benefits lies in enabling a real-time and smooth collaboration. We use it as our default tool whenever we want to prepare a workshop, a kick-off session or a planning meeting, just to name a few examples. Moreover, almost everyone in our department is familiarized with Miro, which makes these sessions even easier to conduct.

Do you think Miro delivers good value for the price?

Yes

Are you happy with Miro's feature set?

Yes

Did Miro live up to sales and marketing promises?

Yes

Did implementation of Miro go as expected?

I wasn't involved with the implementation phase

Would you buy Miro again?

Yes

Miro is very well-suited for collaborative meetings, such as kick-offs,
workshops and insights-sharing sessions, but also for asyncronous
collaboration, such as for building and consulting quarter planning. It
is not so appropriate as a research repository, for example, namely
because it is not so easily scalable as a proper repository or a
spreadsheet, and also because the search bar is not powerful enough
(e.g., you can apply only one filter at the time).
