Overall Satisfaction with Miro
We use Miro across different functional teams, but within design teams, we use it to coordinate projects in the front-end ideation that need to be “living,” where the workflow is highly collaborative across different teams. We also use Miro to host design standards and complicated diagrams that would be impossible with traditional software tools available, such as PowerPoint, Adobe Illustrator, etc.
Pros
- Ability to present in presentation modes.
- Recompose pages in an uploaded document, e.g., PDF or PowerPoint.
- Loads large boards relatively fast - compared to MS Whiteboard.
Cons
- The pen feature could be modernized to map to the eraser feature on the digital stylus - we use the pen feature to annotate a lot.
- Maybe there are new ways to help organize boards; I hear complaints that things get hard to find over time as boards build up.
- It would be good if there was AI integration to understand the context and summarize boards.
- Export boards directly to PowerPoint.
- The positive impact on time is reduced when managing multiple file formats - everything is in one place.
- Reduced time in searching Microsoft share points for relevant content.
- Time saved for designers to brainstorm across locations without sending physical boards.
We have yet to use that feature extensively.
We also tried MS Whiteboard, but it felt more like beta software and crashed often or could not handle large amounts of content.
