Overall Satisfaction with Miro

We use it for visual tracking of the products we work with. It is very convenient as it is really visual and all different teams involved are able to understand the content easily. We not only can organize the space freely but also add pictures and relevant information as well as tables with values to have everything we might need at a glimpse.

Pros

  • Clear visual organization.
  • User friendly.
  • Endless board possibilities.

Cons

  • Reduced options of fonts and colors.
  • Unable to add FILES that can be then copied and pasted somewhere else. Would be great to drop a pdf in the Miro board and then be able to copy it and paste it in a different app when needed.
  • Unable to work well with Powerpoint and Excel.
  • Facilitates the team work by having one space where we can all work at the same time.
  • Helps the visual communication by having more freedom than Powerpoint.
It really helped our team having only one source of truth.
Finding a way where the whole team could put all the information in the cloud, following more or less the same logic but leaving a bit of space to our own communication style and giving us freedom.
It is also easier to cover our colleagues whenever they go on vacation since we know where to find all the relevant information we might need.
I have more space to work freely, there are no slide restrictions. This helps me knowing at any time I can move things around and reorganise it all easily so it makes sense, instead of having to think how should I move slides around and which order would make more sense for the other person to understand.
Also, when covering my colleagues during their holidays, I find it easier to work in the same document I am already familiarised with and without being afraid of moving things around or clicking somewhere I should not and messing with their work.
Also I don't need to worry about where it is being stored as it is always online.

Miro is well suited when it comes to visual data exposure. When you want to add different types of information in just one space. Sometimes formats are a bit limited to taking screenshots and adding there and that is something that could be improved.
There are so many templates which makes it better when it comes to the different needs someone can have, there will always be a template that you can use. Sometimes I am missing some simplified templates.
I also like the fact that it is collaborative and I am sure there are a million features not a lot of people know and make the most out of it, it would be really appreciated if the program could suggest some new features or if there was a learning corner/option to get to know new functions.

What I am missing the most is the variety of fonts and colours. I feel like we always end up relying on sticky notes, where there should be easier and more aesthetic ways of writing lists, writing down information, etc...

I once used the weekly planner to track my daily list of TO DOs and I thought it was really visual and aesthetic. But I did not understand the color logic, I could not personalise it and I had to create my own calendar with sticky notes. It would be great to be able to have an actual calendar that you can personalise however you want.
