Overall Satisfaction with Miro

I mainly use it to share and collaborate on research projects, for describing objectives, timelines, methods, note taking in research sessions, analysis of research and high level findings. Sometimes I use it only for myself when working with frameworks or collecting my thoughts in one place.

Pros

  • Selecting large areas and just picking out sticky notes or text fields
  • Organising sticky notes
  • Colour coding

Cons

  • Pasting in designs from Figma, files are often too big
  • Thematic structuring, not customisable
  • More colours for sticky
  • Improved productivity
  • Led to high number of decisions being made and influenced
It’s has a great impact on the organisation. We’ve got Figma and can use FigJam, but Miro can be used by more departments at the company than Figma that is more familiar to the design team.
Miro is easier for non-designers (oddly it’s been quite tough for designers).

Figma got a few features that I wish Miro had, but Miro is still much better for me.

Do you think Miro delivers good value for the price?

Yes

Are you happy with Miro's feature set?

Yes

Did Miro live up to sales and marketing promises?

I wasn't involved with the selection/purchase process

Did implementation of Miro go as expected?

I wasn't involved with the implementation phase

Would you buy Miro again?

Yes

Miro is the ultimate research tool to collaborate with other researchers or stakeholders. However, it’s not very well suited for designers, who’re often more prone to be using Figma or FigJam for collaboration. They’re familiar with Figma and have a hard time to adjust to Miro board.
