Overall Satisfaction with Miro
I use Miro daily in my classroom to project notes. I am able to write on my ipad on the Miro app and then project this to the smartboard by having the whiteboard open on my laptop. As a teacher, being able to walk around the room while writing notes on the board is invaluable for classroom management and the present feature allows me to have slides that I can control completely from my iPad.
Pros
- Whiteboard for notes
- Present feature that opens presentation mode on all devices viewing the board
- Variety of tools
Cons
- Better Google drive integration
- Scribble feature where drawing turns into text or shapes
- Math equation editor
- Smoother classes
- Save time creating lessons
- Allows for accomodations in the classroom including providing copies of notes
While I am typically the only one on the board, I have the board open on multiple locations so that I can present the notes in one place and write on the board from my iPad. This works seamlessly between the two locations. The presentation feature allows for complete control of the board from either location.
When Google Jamboard was phased out, I had to find another service to project my notes in the classroom. I tried a few others in my search but this one allowed me to control the board from my iPad while projecting. This was different from jamboard where I had to control the board from each location I was using it. I also was limited in the number of frames I could create on jamboard but with Miro, I can create as many as I need so that I can create my lesson and save it for subsequent years.
