Overall Satisfaction with Miro

Collaboration
Miro is the best collaboration tool in my opinion. I think the different templates are useful and generally the user experience is much better than competitors. It works really well for zoomed out collaboration (sharing a roadmap) as well as working through more zoomed in tasks like process flows.

Visualisation
Touched on above, but Miro has the nicest UI in my opinion. It lets you be precise if you want to be but isn't overly prescriptive. A small thing, but Miro's connectors between objects are by far the most visually aesthetic with the most versatility.

Pros

  • Visualisation
  • Collaboration
  • Precision

Cons

  • I miss the old wireframe templates. They were great for just mocking stuff up quickly in meetings.
  • I'm not sure on this
My company is hybrid first so we are all used to using online collaboration tools. I just prefer Miro
I don't like FigJam that much because it feels too designer focused. I like that Miro lets me work in a more free-form way. It feels more flexible - FigJam has more limited functionality and doesn't work for things like process flows very well. Miro caters to a wider range of my use cases.

Do you think Miro delivers good value for the price?

Not sure

Are you happy with Miro's feature set?

Yes

Did Miro live up to sales and marketing promises?

I wasn't involved with the selection/purchase process

Did implementation of Miro go as expected?

I wasn't involved with the implementation phase

Would you buy Miro again?

Yes

Product management - it's great for visualising roadmaps especially across different products and dependencies. I've also used it to align partners outside of my company as well.

Collaboration - it's great for working through problems either alone or with others. I've used it a lot for strategic work: listing & clustering problems, metrics trees etc before writing it in a doc.
