Best diagramming tool out there, without question
Overall Satisfaction with Miro
Our organization uses Miro to visualize and collaborate on process design and design for software features. This is often done by remote teams using the collaborative features.
We would like to start using the Miro - Jira integration features, as this could be a very powerful way to help software engineering teams visualize their Jira issue structures. However, not many teams are yet using this capability.

Pros
- The Miro-Jira integration is amazing. I just wish I could convince engineers of it's value. Software engineers are often not visual thinkers...
- Miro is superior to any other tool in terms of connecting items in a flow using dynamic connetors. This is often one of the most frustrating things about visualizing tools.
- Collaboration where you can see your colleagues working is very powerful feature.
Cons
- It needs a more traditional filing system. I don't really like the way it just gives a list of all the available files. I like to see an organized set of folders for where my files are located. I would prefer to have 'Spaces' called 'Folders' and look more like a folder structure in OneDrive or Google Drive. Spaces is too vague a concept.
- Many templates are overwhelming, there is just too much information. A better approach would be a staged approach where you were able to build out the components in the template piece by piece.
- Hard to say. The big challenge in my software engineering organization is that there are too few visual thinkers in the organziation. We have lots of talented engineers, but they don't typically reach for Miro as their tool of choice.
As an organization that is almost entirely remove, this is one of the most powerful features. However, as previously mentioned, my organization is not strong on visual thinkers. Most of the engineers I work with really need to be taught how to collaborate actively, their inclination in most cases is to talk, not draw...
Miro is superior in every way to powerpoint in terms of how easy it is to produce flow charts or diagrams. However, a big downside of Miro is it needs a mode where you can create multiple frames and put them into a presenation like Powerpoint - A bit like you can do in Figma
