Overall Satisfaction with Miro

My team relies on Miro to map out customer journeys flows and release plans and also to lead creative brainstorms. Our team is remote, so it is the closest digital tool we have to simulate the live "whiteboard" experience, and I find that people participate more when we open up a Miro board with a problem statement/ prompt versus when we just have an open Q&A on calls.

Pros

  • Remote creative brainstorming
  • Mapping out customer journeys
  • Mapping out release plans

Cons

  • Wish it was easier to organize info/ convert boards into a presentation (so I don't have to pan)
  • It's hard to navigate the reactions - sometimes I just want a basic plus sign to indicate I agree with someone's sticky
  • Better collaboration/ participation in brainstorms
  • Easier to visualize and understand complex ideas
It's a must have tool for remote collaboration - one person can kick off a board and others - regardless of time zone - can jump in and contribute async. I also love the Slack integration, so people get notified where we are already working.
Way more features and integrations. The one thing I liked about Freehand was how it would style shapes.
