Overall Satisfaction with Miro

I use Miro primarily to explore current and future user flows including visuals, and to mock up simple visual updates to screens. My team also uses Miro for sprint retros.

Pros

  • when mocking up layered visuals/wireframes with text blocks, multiple images combined, notes, Miro is much easier than doing this in Google Sheets or Figma
  • when building user flows, Miro is easy to build simple workflows
  • navigating around your board & zooming in and out is easy and the most helpful piece compared to going through concepts in a doc or Slides

Cons

  • im not sure if it is a me issue or not, but some more consistency when adding screenshots, I find im adding a bunch and they are all similar size/ board zoom needs, then all of the sudden I am adding more and they are way smaller or way bigger and I dont notice until I go back to look at the previous section and everything is different sizes
  • easier ways to change the formatting/ color / etc of multiple elements at once
  • ability to have more cohesive process flows when desired, closer to what you could build on visio
  • I have started many roadmaps and timelines in Miro, indirectly impacting feature delivery timelines and ARR for our business.
very user friendly IMO, especially in building wireframes/updates to existing screens with multiple image layers, text blocks, callouts. easy to get a good-enough-to-get-your-point-across-crystal-clear wireframe in seconds
I use Miro primarily to build current and future user flows with visuals, then walk through these user flows with different stakeholder groups for alignment.
not really, I have tried to move things out a docs or Slides into Miro but end up needing to build most things in both places for different audiences, but use Miro as my brainstorming playground.

Do you think Miro delivers good value for the price?

Not sure

Are you happy with Miro's feature set?

Yes

Did Miro live up to sales and marketing promises?

I wasn't involved with the selection/purchase process

Did implementation of Miro go as expected?

I wasn't involved with the implementation phase

Would you buy Miro again?

Yes

well suited for the examples I gave above, less appropriate when building a technical dialog, something that needs a table
