Overall Satisfaction with Miro
As a user researcher I use Miro to plan my research projects and to collaborate with stakeholders when sharing insights or brainstorming next steps and ideas. I find it helpful when building flows e.g. for surveys or creating easy-to-read summaries with a clear structure. It's also nice to use it for team's weekly's where we share photos or screenshots about how the week felt.
Pros
- A lot of tools to create structure matching one's preferences
- Great tools to collaborate with others
- A lot of visuals to make it more personalized
Cons
- It's hard to create nice looking tables
- The sharing permissions sometimes might give headaches
- Increased team collaboration
- Less time is spent on organizing projects
- Bigger clarity on insights and next steps
When building research projects, I appreciate tools that let me easily build flows depending on answers. Also, I appreciate features that help me emphasize things, e.g., I can get the attention to a quote that definitely should be noticed by using different colors, shapes, or even emojis. This is very helpful when I need to communicate with audience that sees this information for the first time.
I've been using Miro for such a long time that I don't remember how it was before when there were multiple tools..
While in Google Docs everything is listed vertical, in Miro I can use much more space and it's easier to explain dependencies and build an easy-to-understand big picture.
