Overall Satisfaction with Miro

Miro is great tool to collaborate for virtual teams allowing brainstorming ideas in real time. Being an Agile Coach, I use Miro for Value stream and process mapping exercise to streamline workflows and boost productivity.
We also use Miro to visualize business models like SWOT, establishing business OKRs and Lean canvas.

Pros

  • Built in templates for conducting retros
  • Brainstorming Feature requirements by using sticky notes and voting functionality
  • Prioritization framework by using models like RICE, MoSCoW, and Value vs Effort

Cons

  • I particularly struggle with content-heavy boards, as sometimes there can be significant lag in loading
  • Enable offline mode so I can edit boards without connectivity
  • Jira cards may not sync properly, so I would recommend better integration with other tools
  • The Journey mapping and ideation in one space helps UX team map customer journey and highlight wastes with the process
  • Visual templates to help align OKRs with Feature Roadmap
  • Prototyping a new app feature for getting quick stakeholder feedback
The tool speaks for itself, I have cut 2 marks as there is still room for improvement
Preloaded templates
Integration with other tools
Voting tool
I would say Miro has by far exceeded my expectation in being an all-in-one tool. I primarily rely on this tool and have not used any other tools lately
FigJam is particularly tailored for design led product teams so lack the versatility which Miro provides
Better for workshop facilitation but clucky UI

Yes

Would you buy Miro again?

Yes

Ideal tool for virtual brainstorming sessions with distributed teams generating new feature requirements with team members located in different time zones Great tool for conducting agile ceremonies like retrospectives and Sprint planning. Preloaded retro templates helps conduct meaning conversations.

It can get a little slow with content heavy boards and integration with other tools could be something which the Miro team can improve
