Miro is great for brainstorming
Overall Satisfaction with Miro
We use Miro a lot for brainstorming sessions for a team of about 20+ engineers, UX and QE members. In the brainstorming sessions we take advantage of the sentiment feature to group the responses and then the voting option to summarize what will be the priority for the team to focus on. This allows for a transparent view of responses and feedback.
Pros
- Voting
- Grouping by sentiment
- Collaborating
Cons
- it uses a lot of memory which causes frustration amongst team members
- some team members get lost on the board
- organizing large boards
- It has been helpful in strategic planning
- Team building/Morale through swag brainstorming session
Sentiment and Voting have been the most useful tools within Miro for our team. It is easy to share with others and I like the idea of adding frames to an existing board so all of the thoughts are in one place.
As a Product Owner I have not seen a decrease in my other tool usage. As mentioned it is helpful for us with collaboration but beyond that my team continues to leverage their existing tech stack.
I have different usages for Jira/Confluence. Jira is more for a ticket tracking/reporting usage where Miro for me is a collaborative tool
