Overall Satisfaction with Miro

On my team, we use it for project management and organization. We also use it for our weekly check-ins with the manager. Another use is when we discuss feature brainstorming and defining project scopes with other teams, also running workshops. During these workshops, we discuss projects on a feature level and address internal business units' problems for the product.

Pros

  • Easy to make things clean
  • Easy to figure your way around
  • Many templates

Cons

  • A bit hard for completely new users to navigate across the board (moving around and zooming in and out)
  • Being able to add things as buttons (if I click on a made button, it counts how many clicks)
  • Working dropdown menu, not just for prototype designs
  • Project Delivery
  • Productivity
  • Efficiency
Personally I'm able to go around with ease and know where things are and how to get to them. I do know that some of my co-workers, however, do struggle with navigation and figuring out the board, especially since they don't have the time to just study a bit or test things out.
Ctrl-D while maintaining what's in my copied clipboard is super useful, since I do a lot of copy pasting with my work but still want to copy and paste Miro board elements. I enjoy being able to use Miro created templates as well as public templates without needing extra integration or permissions.
It doesn't feel the best for note taking, but it could be that I'm just not used to it. We also still use Confluence and Jira separately. Miro ends up being the overall organization tool to see things visually in a clean manner. Whether we do something in Jira or Confluence, it ends up coming to Miro to share with the team.

Do you think Miro delivers good value for the price?

Not sure

Are you happy with Miro's feature set?

Yes

Did Miro live up to sales and marketing promises?

I wasn't involved with the selection/purchase process

Did implementation of Miro go as expected?

I wasn't involved with the implementation phase

Would you buy Miro again?

Yes

It's convenient to use if it is one of your main tools to organize and showcase things. It is a bit difficult when you're trying to be interactive, but other people don't really know how to use it / move around on it. Running a workshop on it is convenient, but doing a normal PowerPoint type presentation might take a bit getting used to.
