Miro is a powerful visual collaboration tool
Overall Satisfaction with Miro
I use Miro mostly for wireframing, mood boards, brainstorming sessions, and client presentation. For my team Miro acts as our digital workspace where we collect ideas, design flows and keep all our creative reference in one place. For designer like us it has become an essential tool that everyone can track changes and comment easily.
Pros
- The interface is very intuitive with drag-and-drop feature.
- I like the comment and tagging for gathering and providing feedback.
- It easily gets integrate with Figma, Slack and Google Workspace.
- Can save months of project history.
Cons
- Without stable internet connective, collaboration lags.
- Permission settings are confusing.
- Some design tools are still basic.
- It helps to reduce meeting time by organizing visual ideas faster.
- Centralize boards reduce duplicate work.
- Makes remote workshops more effective.
For my daily work, Miro's infinity canvas with sticky notes and real time collaboration has the biggest impact. The canvas makes it very easy to organize ideas, research notes and wireframe sketches in one place. Sticky notes helps me quickly capture thoughts during interview or brainstorming. The ability for teammates to edit and comment speed up decision making.
Yes it has affect how I use other tools in my tech stack. Since using Miro, I far less rely on separate apps for early planning, brainstorming or documentation.
