Intuitive multi-function tool for collaboration
Overall Satisfaction with Miro
Miro is a tool I use for a variety of business purposes. It is very useful for designing and diagramming technical solutions to share and collaborate with colleagues. The inbuilt hyperscaler icons help speed up high quality diagrams.
Other purposes are for creating presentations where typical PowerPoint doesn't offer me the required flexibility. It is easy to set up a Slideshow to offer more inventive and immersive presentations.
I have used Miro to conduct brainstorming sessions and as a central hub to perform Agile ceremonies such as stand-ups, retrospectives, and brown bag sessions.
The flexibility and ease of use of Miro really makes it an important asset in my everyday technical toolkit.
Pros
- Diagramming
- Collaboration
- Brainstorming
Cons
- Improved export areas
- More native icons
- Increased collaboration
- Faster onboarding
The ability to share boards securely with other team members of via links for guests is vital.
The collaboration tools such as voting, reactions, timers, polls, and other team elements means that it can be used to host a number of different agile ceremonies that may typically be conducted across disparate platforms.
I have seen that opposed to using different tools for different ceremonies or diagramming my team are increasingly using Miro as the go to one-stop-shop for agile ceremonies, diagramming and design, and presentations. By using a single platform it means that reports, diagrams, designs, and presentations are easier to find and have consistent design and usability.
