Overall Satisfaction with NetSuite

In addition to being used in house, we also have a number of clients set up on NetSuite as well. By using the product in both locations, we are able assist clients in their daily usage; can be outsourced to clients to work on their systems on a daily basis, and we can work either at the client site or elsewhere, due to the cloud nature of the product.
  • The ability to prepare financial statements for multiple locations and departments
  • The transaction history capability - looking back to see what has been recorded with a particular vendor or customer
  • The ability to customize reports to tailor them to your needs
  • The interaction between the Fixed Assets Module and NetSuite is not the easiest to maneuver
  • Trying to determine the GL impact of certain transactions can be cumbersome at times
  • Ability to consolidate multiple subsidiaries - prior to NetSuite, one client was using QuickBooks and had a separate account for each subsidiary - now we can see them all on the same report.
  • The ability for multiple people to be looking at the same document in remote locations has been a great feature - again because everything is cloud-based
One client used QuickBooks in the past - but could not get all the subsidiaries added to a single file. So four QuickBooks accounts were needed. With NetSuite, all the subsidiaries can be added to the same account, reports can be prepared at a consolidated level or at a subsidiary level.
Our CPA practice is also an authorized reseller of NetSuite - so we are able to assist clients in getting their accounts set up, to configure the reports for various types of industries, to provide onsite and remote support when they need it. We look at what is best for the client before we sell them NetSuite, but many of the clients that purchase it, have been pleased.
I look at the amount of transactions that are being processed. Does the client has multiple locations or product lines that they want to track? How many users they are looking at? Do they have sales and inventory that they want to track? What is their volume of business and sales in any given year? What they are expecting in growth over the next 3-5 years?
