Overall Satisfaction with Newswire
Newswire was used to put out press releases with a goal of SEO or potential for web pickups around bigger events such as Black Friday sales etc. We didn't use Newswire with the impression that we would get feedback or questions from reporters or larger national pickup. The idea was to get as much information about Essentia circulating on the web to then improve our website's overall domain authority and relevance. This worked quite well for us especially given the price compared to other press release distribution sites. In fact, we did track a sale or two which came directly from a press release which was a plus we did not expect.
- Distribution to the big players online.
- The pickup by local outlets was always great.
- The cost is very fair for service.
- The editorial process was always very hard on our sale releases. Even if we followed the same structure we used to with PR Wire they would flag it as advertorial.
- The option for video is nice but would be better to actually embed it into a part of the release versus just floating at the bottom.
- Would be interesting for them to share more industry-specific releases or give the option to only get emails on specific industries. The E-blasts are always too general.
- Brand awareness.
- Improved SEO.
- Visibility during competitive sale months.
- PR Newswire and PRWeb
Newswire offers the same service like PR Web at a better price. PR Newswire is more reputable and better for big pieces of news you want your business to get out there for potential pickup by the big players in news.
