Overall Satisfaction with Nutanix AOS
The whole company used Nutanix AOS as a full infrastructure replacement for a traditional tier 3 infrastructure.
- It is great for HA
- Simple to use
- Fast and efficient
- Pure Linux backend. If not a Linux guy, might struggle with advanced features
- Files was a bit tricky with home shares as sessions would time out
- GUI might be a bit too simple.
- It paid itself off in 1 year
- Allowed a lean IT team to focus on business engagement rather than IT functions
- Drove down OPEX costs for 5 years

We were in a tight price market where we were trying to stretch every dollar. Nutanix AOS helped us make needed cuts to the IT budget but still able to maintain the same IT service levels
It took a week to understand the GUI, but after that, it was super easy.
We selected Nutanix AOS as we were able to cut out our VMware license. NetApp still required us to maintain VMware so the cost savings would not have been there.
