Overall Satisfaction with Nutanix AOS

Nutanix AOS is currently the virtualization manager of our entire VM landscape and being used by the IT department only.
The intuitive interface and one-click upgrades solve all the issues that we had in the yesteryears on maintaining, patching, upgrading our IT infrastructure. This allows us to utilize our workforce for more value add jobs. Also, when your environment keeps the workers happy with work-life balance, job turnover does go down.
  • Intuitive interface
  • One-click upgrade
  • Unmatched simplicity
  • A mobile app
  • Saving of 89% on electricity bill in a year
  • USD 355'000 ROI in 3 years, it could be more if a factor in the labor productivity we have achieved.
  • Require lesser rack and lesser carbon footprint, changed to a new server room, from 10hp air-cond powered room to just 1.5hp
Before running Nutanix AOS, we were running VMware on top of Nutanix AOS. Several support sessions had me wonder why would VMware just turn me over to Nutanix? The Nutanix support was prompt; they also solved issues related to my VMware. Eventually decided to move to Nutanix AOS.

When we first got Nutanix, it was not the top in Gartner's list some four years ago. When we compared the stats, it was well above or rather better than the rest of the solution in the market. The intuitive interface pretty much is irresistible. Now, over the last three years, it is at the top ranking in the leader's quadrant.
Nutanix AOS is easy to learn without much training. When you install WhatsApp, pretty much the UI and UX are self-explanatory.
Everything is on a single pane. The performance is there; you know pretty much what is happening in your environment.
Nutanix AOS is well suited in every virtualization environment. There is some reservation for users who would still prefer VMware, but that's because you've used them long enough, and people are not willing to change their mindset. Similar to SAP, more people are considering S4/Hana rather than Oracle ERP Cloud, but most of the SAP users are existing companies who had used them 20-30 years ago when almost no other ERP existed.
