Overall Satisfaction with ON24
We used ON24 as our webinar platform to host educational webcasts for our network. The webinars were the responsibility of the Marketing Department and it helps HR Options with brand recognition and value add for our network. We would produce 10 webinars annually.
- Lead generation
- The presenter's dashboard is easy to use. The functionality is clear without having a lot of training - intuitive. There are not "bugs" that surprise you in the way it functions.
- I like the Q&A box for the presenters. You can easily see all the questions that come in, organize them in different folders if desired, and respond to the person asking the question or send it out to participants.
- The thumbnails for the slide deck make it easy to organize and re-organize the slide deck after it's been uploaded.
- The archiving system is valuable. You can easily customize your library of archived sessions and have it available for the public to access.
- I was not able to get music to play prior to the session starting so when participants logged in early and waited for the session to start - some were unsure if the audio was working.
- I had to retype in the questions and answer options for the evaluation for each webinar. I would like to have had the option of saving the eval as a template so I didn't need to retype it each time.
We did not automate the integration of ON24 with our CRM which is Salesforce. We would take the link to ON24's registration page and include the link in our MailChimp email invitations and landing pages promoting the webinars.
We would take the registrant reports and upload them into Salesforce to create new leads and/or update the leads and contact records that they attended the webinar.

- Unfortunately, HR Options was not able to produce the ROI we needed through our webinars to make it cost effective to continue with our program. The inability to produce the ROI has nothing to do with the software, but in the model we had set up of who we were marketing to and who attended the sessions. So, the webinars were excellent and I loved using ON24 to produce them, but couldn't bring in enough new business through the webinars alone to support the program.
I used WebEx meeting years ago from 2007 to 2010. We ran into many tech issues including issues with logging in and the audio dropping out.
I then used Vcall from 2010 through 2013. I liked the platform very much until 2013 when they changed the software completely. The new software was not user friendly. It seemed like a beta version of a software that had bugs. I moved to ON24 after 2 months of using Vcalls new software.
I used ON24 from 2013 until August 2017. I like it very much, but my webinar program was not producing the ROI needed to continue.
I tried using Onstream Media to produce one webinar. I found it difficult to learn because the training tools were inadequate. There were many illogical processes, fields with the same name but had different functions, ways I could invalidate the log in link without getting any kind of error message. I feel that software is at a beta stage and shouldn't be on the market.
