Overall Satisfaction with OneCause

I manage non-profit fundRaising events and we use the OneCause CRM to manage our fundRaising events, primarily the Silent Auction function.

Pros

  • Technology Advancement
  • Top Notch Customer Service
  • User friendly platforms
  • Follow ups and event logistics

Cons

  • My biggest complaint was the credit card processing system, but they've made changes
  • I would like to see advancements with the mobile check-in in processes at events
  • Tweaks to fixed price options in the system.
  • During a live auction, we had records of guest raising their paddles during the event for thousands of dollars, but in the end, it was an error that we couldn't fix. It affected our bottom line tremendously
  • Sometimes we use third-party auction companies and the representative put in the incorrect bid values for certain items. The OneCause manager caught the errors immediately and was able to correct them before the event began.
  • At an event, the venue changed the location of the registration area, which had poor wifi reception. Because of the OneCause manager arriving early, they were able to troubleshoot and get the correct reception area.
We've used other CRM systems in the past, and none of them have been as user-friendly as OneCause. They have numerous resources available for you to learn at your own pace, and they follow up to ensure you understand the processes.
Other services I've used in the past have had around-the-clock technical support. I was leery of how available OneCause would be if we had an event on the weekend. However, even though their offices are closed, the techs are still available for support leading up to the event, and they have been very knowledgeable.
Blackbaud did not have the functionality that I was looking for. I felt like it was too limited. It did not have the silent auction component that I was looking for. Also, Blackbaud charges by the record, which can be very costly, especially when I have a minimum of 10,000 records for my 10K race.

Yes

Yes

Did implementation of OneCause go as expected?

Yes

Would you buy OneCause again?

Yes

The first time using the system without an assistant. I uploaded the data for the guest names, but for some reason, it didn't show on the tablets the day of the event. The events manager from OneCause was able to jump right into the system and correct the user error.
