Overall Satisfaction with OneDrive

OneDrive is used in our organization as the primary online document management and cloud storage platform. It is used widely within all areas of business in integration product and project work streams, connecting an online experience for document review and revision, a storage management system for materials like online media and artifacts and marketing document repository to name a few. The platform cuts down on paper copies around the enterprise and offers a secure platform for users to easily learn and use.
  • Allows for easy organization of documents
  • Secures files separate from general documentation
  • Allows for documents to be collaborated on in live real time with multiple editors accessing the same copy
  • Provides online access across the globe to resources for teams development and project needs
  • Other platforms offer more encryption support for various formats of files
  • Offer more storage for free tier to attract adoption of premium services - lowest offering of all comparable services
  • Improve native application support with Android and IOS
  • Ability to store and share multiple file formats in the cloud for online and offline access
  • Secure platform that meets organizational security needs for a tool of it's nature
  • Collaboration platform that allows ease of multiple users to create, edit, and manage different file formats within storage
  • OneDrive has reduced expense in the areas of paper products
  • OneDrive has reduced our expenses in document and material destruction
  • OneDrive has improved on employee productivity and efficiency
  • One Drive has improved product delivery in time to market and helped with meeting organization and online collaboration
OneDrive feels native is you are a Microsoft 365 user. The integration aspect of being a Microsoft customer and using all platform tools together helps with driving adoption, ease of learning, and overall efficiency. While Google Drive is widely used as well, there is a ramp up to learning those controls over OneDrive is you are not used to those platforms.

Do you think OneDrive delivers good value for the price?

Yes

Are you happy with OneDrive's feature set?

Yes

Did OneDrive live up to sales and marketing promises?

Yes

Did implementation of OneDrive go as expected?

Yes

Would you buy OneDrive again?

Yes

I'll start with what I would not use OneDrive for! I would not use it as a primary source for code repository, there are other more robust tools out there that can help you with storing and making available code repos. Where I would use OneDrive is in a platform for managing files, and with that I mean any file that can be saved offline and access a OneDrive access point, share, or mount. This could be personal, business, or data from a system that is saved in a standard file format. The OneDrive platform is great for documents collaboration as well, with the ability to allow for share and links to be provided to for easy access and collaboration. I would also recommend if you are someone who likes to use cloud services and rely less and less on offline storage. OneDrive excels in this area!
