Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We use Optimizely primarily to test new ideas about what to build and prove whether or not those ideas make us more money than the status quo. We have a team of people who are primarily responsible for driving growth through A/B testing, but others in the organization use Optimizely as well-- to make quick changes to our front end without dev involvement.

Optimizely has a phenomenal ROI at the moment, here's hoping they don't jack up the prices in the future.

The company provides a lot of support but it's essential to have a good mentor or take a course to understand how to interpret experimental results. Most of the functionality of the program can be learned in an hour but there is an art to iterating on experiments, teasing out hypotheses, and locking in wins for political capital.
