Overall Satisfaction with PagerDuty

It was an awesome experience using PagerDuty. Logging incidents is simple and comfortable. Over time, PagerDuty has learnt from repeat incidents and made amends. Further, there was a drop in the number of incidents recorded after each update was rolled out, indicating that things are on the right track thanks to PagerDuty.

Pros

  • Comfortable incident logging and closures.
  • Machine learning through repeat incidents.
  • Less number of incidents after new updates.

Cons

  • Can do better in terms of file attachments on incidents.
  • Diagnosis of technical error with a minimal amount of information extracted from the user.
  • Swift processing of incidents.
  • ROI is currently in positive territory from a fiscal perspective.
Knowing that even a small incident could snowball into a major one, PagerDuty's no-maintenance downtime policy has put my line managers at ease!
PagerDuty has strong machine learning capabilities, ensuring that data across the spectrum is compiled into a streamlined process and used to resolve or prevent future incidents.

The incident reporting dashboard is a cakewalk, especially when I am stressed out due to non-working or crashed applications. PagerDuty asks for minimal information to diagnose the error, making it ideal for such incidents.
