Companies can't remove reviews or game the system. Here's why

I feel this will be a crucial component because most of our systems rely on using PagerDuty as an alerting component and we do expect no gaps here. However, we do fall back to failsafe mechanisms of debugging / monitoring with reduced capabilities.

The team supports the systems that work 24*7 and needs near immediate resolution for things hosted on cloud infrastructure, which can have some small outages, which with the help of Pager Duty, we were able to either engineer around with a code fix or have the on call engineer jump in and fix these issues.

The last thing any team wants is the monitoring fails and team only notices the issues after multiple customer complaints. Fortunately, I have never seen PagerDuty down and alerts are not triggered or we are not able to use the tool to further process information to Level 3 teams.
We are extensively using PagerDuty to keeps our system up and running with minimum disruption to services which helped us to onboard new customers for our products.

I think we have benefited from this because downtime would have cuased us to miss some important sales leads and act on them timely. Other compeittors could have won them over during that time.

If PagerDuty was unavailable when we had an overlapping service downtime would be quite unfortunate. Luckily, we are not aware of any PagerDuty downtime, and if it has occurred, it has not impacted us.

Generally speaking the PagerDuty platform is reliable. Outages do happen on occasion. These outages are significantly felt by our organization even if it is for a few minutes. Because we leverage PagerDuty as our "eyes on glass" platform, we often see problems well before PagerDuty support identifies the problem. I can only recall one situation where the platform was completely down. Typically it is one or two minor components in a degraded state.

I have always taken for granted that PagerDuty is just always available 100% of the time. Depending on when they had an outage, that could be a serious concern if we had a major event at the time because we are quite dependent upon PagerDuty for alerting us of any issues in our environment. This actually is a pro and a con, because they have been so reliable and a con because there is this potentially false sense of security if there is ever an issue that affects our ability to respond to our issues.

We currently run several scheduled reports that notify our clients if their end customers have sent pictures of incidents relating to claims.
If these reports are not executed with a certain period of time, this would cause delays in processing of the clients claims and in some instances forcing end customers to restart the claim process form scratch.

In the 9-years I have worked with PD, never have I experienced a time when the service was down. Talking with other IT colleagues, the opinion on PD is mutual, and that it is the best reliable solution.

PagerDuty has always been up and sent alerts as they happen in real time. We have yet to have any issues with this and is one reason why PagerDuty is so effectively used by our organization. Downtime by cloud providers or by issues within our stack architecture is enough and PagerDuty allows us to stay within our SLA's.

PagerDuty is a SaaS 100%. I have been using it for a year and haven't had any downtime or issues with it so far. This has a direct positive impact on our revenue, mean time to respond, and brand reputation. The reliability of PagerDuty made it for us a single place where we can view the overall health of our systems.

Yes, we've been happy with PagerDuty's uptime and reliability. PagerDuty is distributed across multiple data centers and not tied to a single vendor, so notifications and alerts have been delivered on-time even during a major outage from a large cloud provider. I was an early user of PagerDuty back in 2012 when they struggled with some of this, but in the last 10 years they have become very strong at avoiding single points of failure.

Reliability is critical to my organization. Ensuring that PagerDuty is available when we're in a crisis means that we can get a hold of the right people to help manage our crises. If PagerDuty were to experience an outage at the same time as my organization, this would be a significant problem.

PagerDuty maintained a high level trust through our relationship. Because we relied on PagerDuty when our systems were experience issues, we didn't want to also worry about PagerDuty failing. It consistently did the job and allowed us to focus on our customers and solving our own problems! Never in 8 years did PagerDuty fail us during an emergency.

Since our services are 24/7, any SEVs that impact customers can cost our company millions of dollars, as entire regions can be taken out, paralyzing our operations. In these events, engineers need to be alerted immediately regarding the incidents - and mobilized to resolve them. PagerDuty allows us to detect any incident in our lifecycle, giving us a head start to resolve them before they spread. It also integrates with ServiceNow and Slack so stakeholders can be informed as the solutioning happens. It constantly listens in the background, and responsibly alert the relevant parties when need arises.
