I think this external integration is helpful. I have been using the Slack-PagerDuty integration extensively where the alerts are routed by paging-key ==> relevant slack channels. This helps the relevant members of the slack to actually quickly respond to alerts. Apart from that, I am familiar with Jira Integrations which also aid in issue tracking in setups where agile is followed

We use the Slack integration extensively. This enables the on call engineer to update the status directly from Slack and resolve tickets as well. The stakeholders are also part of these slack channels so they can view the active issues and read about the status in the same place as their communications. It may seem very trivial but taking out even one additional page to visit from the work for an on call engineer, is a huge time and effort save, directly and indirectly.

we have integrated pagerduty with Slack and it has benefited us a lot since entire team knows the operational issue we have as a team but only person who is on a on-call duty needs to do the troubleshooting realtime but team can know about all the issues asynchronously also we have intergrate it with our infra monitoring tools to provide more info and graphs/metrics for the issues.

We have integrated PagerDuty to Instana, Splunk, emails to enable the information to flow into PagerDuty. Since many northbound integrations are available, we can use many sources of information to identify where is the issue.
Jenkins integrations allow us to monitor recent and relevant changes.
MS team and Slack integration allow us to reach to other team members and investigate the issue further if required or even just to keep everyone informed of the recent issues.

We have mainly integrated with New Relic, and also utilise the email address function for systems that don't have direct integration. With regard to New Relic, when an incident occurs the relevant policy sends an alert to PagerDuty. Based on the rules in PagerDuty, and alert of the appropriate level is sent )or not) to the on-call person.

We do not use any of the native/pre-built integration capabilities. We have built our own integrations using the events API and webhooks. This gives us additional flexibility how information is sent/received from the PagerDuty platform. We have tested some of the native integrations but found they lacked flexibility. The custom code we developed is deployed on a web services engine backed by service bus technology. For most organizations this is likely overkill but necessary if you are integrated multiple tools together.

We haven't used all of these integration but we have used a lot of integrations
  • Slack is one of the example where you can configure the workflow that will allow you to configure a workflow so that you can check the on-call person within a Slack channel, acknowledge, assign, resolved and add notes to incidents in pageduty.
  • Jira is another example where you can configure it for different projects.

We use Logic Monitor (LM) as our primary monitoring platform and so the integration (both ways) is invaluable. When alerts appear in LM and the alert goes to PagerDuty, and acknowledged, if it auto-clears in LM, it will auto clear in PagerDuty. We also use the email integration very heavily, every service has an associated email address which allows you to direct your emails to the specific escalation chains and ultimately the correct people very easily. There are other integrations that our company uses that I am unfamiliar with.

Mostly we use integrations with RMM tools, SolarWinds, and ticket systems. Where there may not be an integration, we are able to take advantage of the SMTP alerts. A ServiceNow plugin would be nice, but there are still ways to make PD work with ServiceNow.

We use the integrations for quite a few other apps/technologies. We integrate from CloudWatch (in AWS), Azure, and with New Relic. We also send alerts from PagerDuty to Slack and email. The ease of setup for these integrations is important as we don't want to spend tons of time setting them up and PagerDuty has made it very easy, in some cases just a few clicks.

We use integrations to zendesk, slack, and jira -- it also gives alerts via phone and email so that responsible parties get the notice immediately. Anyone who has tried to just contact people via email or slack after hours is well aware of the difficulty in mobilizing a remote workforce.

I've made heavy use of PagerDuty's Slack integration and this has been wonderful for keeping folks aware of issues and incidents in real time. The integration will notify a Slack channel when a new incident is created and every time its status is updated. You can also respond to incidents and manage the on-call schedule from within Slack.

I've also used a number of the various integration channels for sending alerts to PagerDuty and they've all worked very well. It's hard to recommend specific integrations because it depends on what other technologies your company uses, but in general my teams have been very happy with all of these integrations.

The pre-built integrations that PagerDuty provides made adoption and integration into our current environment extremely easy and efficient. The API-based custom integrations makes it possible for us to use PagerDuty everywhere we want to.

We used PagerDuty across 15+ teams, all with different use cases. My team integrated PagerDuty into our Zendesk instance to function with our emergency contact form. When an emergency ticket was created in Zendesk, if certain parameters were met (like time of day and live production status), the PagerDuty on-call rotation would trigger and alert the engineer on duty.

PagerDuty offers native integrations with email, via their customer API, and through their PagerDuty Agent. It allows for integrations across customer service, process automation, cloud, communication, marketing, analytics, and many more. It can notify on call responders of alerts sent from some of these integrated systems, and send custom alerts via Slack accordingly. Some of the integrations we find helpful are with Datadog, Slack, ServiceNow, Zendesk etc. All in all, a great ecosystem.

Our organization has integrated it with Slack and there is a separate channel for PagerDuty alerts, so team members directly get alerted in their systems about any critical, high, medium, or low-priority alerts.
