Overall Satisfaction with Paychex Flex

Payroll for employees and contractors. Plus, 401K.

Pros

  • tax filings and legal paperwork
  • customer support

Cons

  • the UI is functional but a bit antiquated
  • mostly, it keeps me from making costly payroll errors
I have not used the reporting - Honestly, I don't really use reporting except for my CPA.
Via email, Tina Stanton has been amazing. Very responsive and action oriented. And friends I have referred to Paychex have also spoken positively about your support.
Their prices are way better, but Paychex has actual, responsive customer support. If Square could match your support, I'd consider making the switch.

Listen, the UI is fine. I think it's not glamorous. It's not modern, but it works. That said, I think it's about time to go through a UX touchup.
Paychex is good for small businesses that don't have the bandwidth to handle all the payroll paperwork.
