Overall Satisfaction with Paycom
I utilize Paycom as a payroll solution for my clients who have 1-5 employees and are really just looking for a way to accurately and effectively compensate their employees while making sure that all the correct withholding and reporting requirements are taken care of. For this need, Paycom has been a fantastic solution.
Pros
- When utilizing Paycom to process payroll, the functionality of Paycom's online platform is very efficient and easy to navigate.
- When I have needed to contact the customer service team at Paycom, they have always been easy to get ahold of and extremely reliable in helping me solve whatever issues I am encountering. I don't have to sit on hold and listen to a machine prompt me to make selection after selection. Instead, I speak to an actual person when i call in and they are able to put me in touch with the appropriate customer service representative within seconds.
Cons
- Would love to have the ability to set-up payroll on "auto-pay," where I don't have to go in a manually process the same payroll each pay cycle. Instead, if I could just have Paycom automatically process the same pay rate/amount each pay cycle, then that could be a helpful tool for me. If this functionality does exist, then I would love to hear about it from Paycom. I am just not aware that this functionality is available.
- While I feel they do an acceptable job helping navigate the tax burden that comes with payroll (withholding and wage report filings), I would like for them to provide more assistance when it comes to determining what taxing authorities need to have taxes withheld from an employees wages. This is primarily regarding those cities/states that have local and township withholding requirements.
- Paycom has been a great solution for my clients who are in need of a payroll service to help them accurately and effectively compensate their employees. While ROI is difficult to quantify in this situation, my ability to provide a solution to the needs of my clients is very important.
- Heartland
Paycom just seems to have a more robust offering and in my experience, has a much more functional online platform that is easier to navigate. When I need to run reports, obtain tax documents, make employee changes or adjust wage rates, I just have an easier time accomplishing these types of tasks through Paycom's platform.
