Overall Satisfaction with Paycor

We use Paycor for payroll and employee maintenance. We needed assistance configuring our account to our specifications as that was missed during implementation (i.e. we were left on our own to figure things out once we signed the contract basically). Adriene was a LIFE SAVER in helping us configure our account to the parameters we needed (within the scope of what Paycor is capable of), and we are very thankful for her assistance.

Pros

Cons

  • more customized employer options - we should be able to view and extricate our data in any way we choose
  • notifications - workflows
  • better expense platform
  • ability for EEs to see their own deductions
  • we are able to pay our employees timely
Not sure. - Still trying to figure out how to quantify any time savings. We still have so many manual processes due to system limitations, would love for this to improve so we can save time on processes and just overall in general. I would highly suggest a better implementation process that is tailored to the needs of each client, and does not put the brunt of the configuration on the employer as it did when we first got setup with Paycor. As a new company to the system, you are not capbable of making decisions as to what services you need as you have no idea what all the system can do. This was a major pain point for us, and several years later we are still finding things we either needed back then or didn't know we had.

Paycor is better than Paylocity because at least with Paycor we get responses to our questions and concerns. We do have the best customer success rep and technical account manager who have done wonders for our experience and our account. There is SO much potential with Paycor, but it seems to be very disjointed with a lot of the pieces not fitting together so well.

Paycor has the BEST customer success reps and technical team, they helped configure our GL, holiday policies, and some custom reporting.
The fact that managers cannot submit pay rate changes, department changes, etc and that employers are unable to send out any custom notifications in the system is very much incomprehensible and severely limits the way we operate and our daily functionality. It could be majorly improved to be far more efficient and user friendly.
