Overall Satisfaction with Paylocity

We use Paylocity for many things, such as Onboarding, Time Keeping, Payroll, Benefits, to administer Training Courses, Annual Employee Reviews, to post Announcements to communicate upcoming events to our staff via Community.

Pros

  • Provide support by phone
  • Constantly providing new product updates
  • They have a vast knowledge base available any time

Cons

  • We have experienced delays in getting answers to our emails.
  • We have also experienced delays in updating data we have requested, such as deleting erroneous vacation time accruals.
  • We should have more flexibility when requesting to extend our payroll submission time.
  • We feel it has been a good investment.
  • Using Modern Workforce Index has helped provide us with insight into various areas we may have not been focusing on much before.
  • We feel that our employees are more engaged since using Paylocity's self service portal, not just while in the office but also on their own time from home.
While the core processes may be automated, we do not rely on that solely.
We still take the time to thoroughly review employee's time & attendance daily in order to ensure all time is recorded accurately, as ultimately our employees are human and may forget to clock in or submit a time-off request for time missed.
Community is a very useful & engaging tool within our company. We can easily post & communicate important news to our staff in the matter of seconds. Employee Anniversary notifications are a great way to congratulate our employees and let the whole team participate also.

One of best things I like about Paylocity is that it is user friendly for both management and employees.

One of the areas Paylocity needs to improve in is in offering the compliant training sessions in Spanish as well....not just in English with Spanish subtitles. When we assign the Sexual Harassment Prevention Training session to our employees every other year, there is about one fourth of our employees the cannot complete it due to not speaking English, and we are forced to find alternate courses elsewhere.
