Overall Satisfaction with Paylocity
Main Functions: Onboarding - This function is online and is fairly easy to onboard multiple new hires at once. Performance - Currently implanting this function. We don't have a performance management system, but moving one online. Surveys - 90-day, 6 month, and one-year surveys are conducted. Easy to get data (when it is working properly)
Pros
- Multiple Functions
- Digital / Online
Cons
- Having a support team that will help with problems (always told Paylocity doesn't do xxx when it seems like common sense)
- Mass changing information (For example reviewers/supervisors, notifications for all)
- Having a suggestion box for improvements
- Testing function when implementing
- Surveys that work (currently there is a problem with Excel sheets pulling the survey data)
- Reduced time because of reporting function
- Better data-driven decision making because of Surveys
- Reduced errors with onboarding
The biggest automation piece used is the reporting function. It is helpful, but not as intuitive as I would like. I take my best guess when I need a specific report and on my list of things to do is watch videos to learn more about the reporting function. The onboarding function is also great once all the data is entered for the new hires.
We have the community and impressions functions but have not started to utilize them yet. Getting employee buy-in seems to be a struggle to get them to start using them (but it is in the long-term plan). The Surveys function started off great. We moved all of our surveys to Paylocity. It provides great data. We used to export an Excel sheet of surveys, but that recently stopped working and support did not have a fix or time-estimate to the fix which is frustrating as our teams started to rely on it.
