Overall Satisfaction with Paylocity

We use Paylocity on a daily basis. Recruitment is used by managers to gather resumes and potential new hire information. Surveys are used to send safety manual acknowledgments to new technicians. We use Benefits for open enrollment and new hire enrollment. That has been a great function, which was added last year. Announcements are posted to alert employees. We process payroll through Paylocity, so Time & Labor and HR & Payroll are used often to update timesheets and complete employee's HR & Payroll file.

  • Document Library - You search for an employee and click "add document", then you have to re-type the employee's name again.

  • Employees can view their benefits all on one platform
Automation is a tool that can be used to enhance our time on the Paylocity platform. This tool has helped the time efficiency in reviewing timesheets. As the company grows, there are more timesheets to review to make sure all time in/out have been posted. On the main screen of Time & Labor, there is an alert when there is punch times that are missed. Employees can add notes if they need their time fixed, and that visibility has helped a lot.
The only tool we use from this list is Surveys. This has been a great tool to have employees sign an electronic document saying they have read the company handbook. The signed document is saved in the employee's file, so that is a great tool. The surveys are easy to setup and have helped automate some processes. The other tools we do not use.
I haven't used other products besides Paylocity. Paylocity is a great product, and highly recommend it.

Paylocity's customer service is great. You can call them and know you have a live person on the other end of the phone who is well engaged in the product and can help you. I've been using their product for years, and their customer service has always been one of the main things that distinguish them from other payroll companies. They are reliable and get any issues fixed while on the phone or within a reasonable time.
