Overall Satisfaction with Paylocity

I use Paylocity to help manage recruiting, onboarding, contracts, academic assignments, performance evaluations, and training. I am a liaison with Human Resources and the online faculty on our Global campus. Using Paylocity has streamlined our processes of recruitment and contracts and has essentially enabled us to use it for the entire life cycle of the employee. This has made us more efficient in our work and has centralized our storage of employee documents.
  • We have begun to use it to house all employee documents.
  • The service department is always available for questions and troubleshooting.
  • I would like to see administrators have the ability to act as employees, so we can see exactly what they see. Right now that capacity is limited so not very helpful.
  • Time and labor don't seem well integrated into the HR component. Some of the processes are clunky.
  • Recruitment of new employees centralized.
  • Centralized faculty documentation.
  • Reduced number of other apps or products to complete tasks.
I am only involved in certain aspects of HR (not payroll and time and labor), but it has improved our ability to serve our employees with a one-stop platform.
Our employees are slow to engage with Paylocity, but we are in the process of helping them see how beneficial it is to them. We are attempting to teach them to fish (go into Paylocity and find the information themselves and a dozen other things while they are there), but some employees still prefer to be given a fish (we find the information and report it back to them). It's a slow process, but we make small but significant steps each year.
I was not involved in the selection process.

Do you think Paylocity delivers good value for the price?

Yes

Are you happy with Paylocity's feature set?

Yes

Did Paylocity live up to sales and marketing promises?

I wasn't involved with the selection/purchase process

Did implementation of Paylocity go as expected?

I wasn't involved with the implementation phase

Would you buy Paylocity again?

Yes

I like the functionality of the recruitment module. The time and labor module is less integrated. Approving time off for employees is confusing.
