Overall Satisfaction with Paylocity
We utilize the system in a number of different ways including time tracking, payroll, benefits administration, onboarding solutions and for recruiting.
Pros
- We are an organization that focuses on providing white glove service to our internal and external clients, and we have been impressed with how Paylocity streamlines processes for us, reducing administrative time for our employees. This has been especially helpful with reducing time spent on onboarding and open enrollment.
Cons
- I think more integration with AI would be helpful. Whether it is helping us streamline job descriptions, helping us continue to identify and attract the right kind of candidates, maybe even helping us identify skills gaps once we have resumes and those types of things in the system. I think all of those things might be helpful in the future.
- We have a lot of our clients that ask us for data, and Paylocity has been helpful in providing us flexibility and tools to track and report on various data points.
- Our attorneys work on a billable hour, so every minute matters. Having a solution where they can get what they need quickly and efficiently is important, and Paylocity has helped us with some of that.
We have been able to really be able to reduce time spent on those lower level administrative tasks. Our employees are able to update their information on their own, or find some of the basic answers they are looking for when needed. In addition, our accounting team handles payroll and HR handles the HRIS pieces. With that split in responsibilities, and the way Paylocity functions, we've been able to add in various audit steps and work seamlessly together without spending a great deal of time on added communications.
We have not done much with these areas in the software. To date we utilize a more manual process for our stay interviews, but we do handle our exit interviews through the software and find the summary of those to be helpful in reporting to executive management and the board.
I've used Ceridian and ADP services in the past. When I came to the organization, Paylocity had just been implemented. It was a fairly new product when the organization signed on, so we have seen the product improve over time. Overall, Paylocity seems to focus a little more on serving their clients than the larger organizations like Ceridian and ADP.
