Overall Satisfaction with Paylocity
We utilize Paylocity for HR and payroll, benefits, and Reviews. Our Onboarding is through Paylocity but not Applicant Tracking. We like having things streamlined to use them to get a complete overview of an employee's time with our company versus having to look at many different systems. I am an admin and utilize all our products with Paylocity, as well as set up changes.
Pros
- We have settled into a great team of support recently from both an HR Side as well as Benefits.
- Open Enrollment is easy to get set up and the team is knowledgeable for help.
- Opportunities for doing everything one would need for an employee's lifecycle right in Paylocity.
Cons
- Ability for Benefit Setup - 1-year enrollment opportunities for plans with a regular enrollment date.
- Benefits Enrollment Date Counting - 30 days, first of the month following instead of adding the hire date to the 30 days.
- New Payroll System - how you look at someone's check details is not a seamless process.
- Events—Finding your events is not user-friendly. You have to remember which date you pushed it out.
- Benefits and COBRA - reduced errors for initial letters being sent and Qualified Letters going out when termed or change of status.
- Data Insights - better opportunities to learn what we do well and what areas need improvement in the company.
- Reporting - cost saving to ensure we only have those working employed and get terms taken care of quicker.
We don't currently use the scheduling tool as we have too many departments that need the type of scheduling that Paylocity doesn't offer. However, we think the time tracking in Time and Labor is effective and gives our employees the opportunity to make changes when needed, so Directors are chasing down emails, etc., to make the corrections. We also like the camera feature to ensure the correct employee clocks in. Without it, we wouldn't have caught some issues that have come up.
We use the community to make our big announcements. However, it doesn't always send an email to everyone, which is frustrating because I need to write another email to ensure everyone has it. We like the option for acknowledgment. Our company doesn't utilize Peer Recognition very often, but it's something to look at in the future to restore comradery if needed.
Paylocity matched up well. It wasn't worth changing to UKG because Paylocity gave us everything they had. We also like Paylocity's streamlining for other options that UKG was still not streamlined. Paylocity has always been helpful in understanding that we are a Nonprofit, so funds are tight, and we want the best that we can afford.
