Not perfect, but can't find a better alternative
Overall Satisfaction with Paylocity
I use the Recruiting and Onboarding modules extensively. Both were a big improvement over our old Applicant Tracking System. Although it wasn't perfect, it was as good as an ATS can be, and if there were shortcomings I appreciated that updates and improvements were released on a regular basis. It made wy work more efficient.
Pros
- gives regular updates and improvments
- easy to use interface
- a mobile app that meets employee needs
Cons
- better access to our account representative when a question arises
- a better idea of who our account representative is at any given time
- The app has been crashing recently when I attempt to clock in or out
- less time searching for job candidates
- higher expense for an Applicant Tracking System
- improvements and new features released at regular intervals
They benefits referenced above has freed up time for me to focus on areas such as talent aquisition and better engagement with existing employees. With our previous applicant tracking system there were a lot of repetitive items that took up considerable time, and with Paylocity those have lessened significantly.
We've tried to use Community in the past but have a struggled. It's yet another social media platform in a world where we already have too many. It feels like a solution to a problem that doesn't exist. We've reverted back to our email and our Intranet to share such content.
