Overall Satisfaction with Paylocity
I use it all the time. I use it for payroll. We use it for HR. We use it for recruiting, we use it for talent management, we use it for onboarding, off-boarding, it is my go-to tool and it integrates very well with Employee Navigator, which is our benefits portal.
Pros
- Pretty good at analytics. I think it's pretty easy to use. There's multiple ways to do the same thing and I personally find the front forward facing customer service to be terrific. When I call, I get answers every now and again. I will get an answer that's wrong and I know it's wrong because I've working with the system a while so I kind of help the person. I do think customer service is great, customer support, not as great, but it's pretty. I use it all the time and I am a big fan of the product.
Cons
- A few missing functionality. I was looking for an accrual report on something and it only can do one payroll. It can't go back history wise, which I think is weird because I needed to check this accrual stuff and it wasn't available. Another thing, it's having trouble calculate the way our payroll is done. Teacher salaries are divided over 185 days and when we have to dock them, Paylocity can't do the math to recognize that it faces it off of 260 days. So it's been a little challenging to have to work around this and do manual calculation. So in that sense, those are my two most recent disappointments with Paylocity.
- Definitely better data-driven decisions, a hundred percent, way better. It's also definitely reduced errors. It integrates so well with employee navigator that cuts down errors on inputting certain data. It definitely makes things faster. Our onboarding process is better, our time and labor process is better. All of these things are streamlined and they're systematized and that makes it much better.
Made us work smarter and faster.
Not enough. The leadership is resistant to some of it, so we really haven't been able to utilize community as much as we should or any of the other things. So it's a slow process.
We used to use ADP, but I haven't. It's been a while so I can't really speak to it, but we left it. It seemed like a more robust, easier to use system. ADP felt very clunky and we also had some issues with them not doing things that they said.
