Overall Satisfaction with Paylocity

So we use it to input employee data to verify or check information. Also for our onboarding and recruitment process, our staff are really starting to engage it as far as giving out rewards or announcements or information or just giving employees kudos. But we're constantly checking it for data that we might need for various reports and information along with processing payroll. So daily it's open all the time.

Pros

  • I think it communicates as far as time and attendance, recruitment, onboarding, employee data very well in comparison to some systems that I've used in the past. It's not fragmented at all. I feel like it's very streamlined.

Cons

  • I don't know if I have any immediate cons. I think they're constantly improving the product. So when there are suggestions made, you see changes? I think when new features are added, it takes a minute to get accustomed to the new screen or what it looks like and how to find the things you're looking for. But overall, no specific cons.
  • Better data-driven decision making, streamlining processes, so reducing time as it relates to outputting information. Just overall function has been good.
They have definitely allowed for us to focus more on the strategic aspect and to help with us as it relates to talent management. It takes less time to output job postings on different boards. It can all be done through their system. And then the recruitment, like I said, onboarding, scheduling, interview processes all happen through their system, so it's very efficient.
I think we're just starting to explore the employee engagement tools and utilizing them more effectively. So as I can say, peer recognition has been impactful, but we're looking to continue to utilize or explore the usage of the surveys, more of the learning management system as far as videos to staff.
I think it's very user-friendly. If a person is not afraid of technology, I think it's pretty easy to navigate.
ADP and Gusto, those are all my least favorite products. As it relates to continuity and streamlining of different modules, some of them do not operate the best, in my opinion from my previous experience. I don't know what they're doing now because I've been with Paylocity for a long time.
