Paylocity Review
Overall Satisfaction with Paylocity
So we use it for everything. We have all the platforms. It solves all of our daily problems. We clock in payroll, taxes, expenses. We use the community to send out all kinds of notifications to employees. And all employees use the mobile app for punching, checking their time, getting their pay stubs. So we use it for really everything we need.
Pros
- Well, we've been with it for five years. One thing is that they're constantly updating it with recommendations from users. So you can go in and put a recommendation for any certain problem you see. And sometimes your suggestion is a suggestion of a lot of other people and it gets put on the roadmap and gets put fixed within a quarter, two quarters sometimes. So that's one of my favorite things. But payroll is seamless. I like how expenses flow right over. We can do our learning. Boys can do it on their phones. They don't have to worry about the internet or wifi or anything. So really every use that we have, I don't have complaints about.
Cons
- We just did performance reviews and we also use it for journals in the performance function. And sometimes I want to be able to print things out and it is difficult to print things out. Workflows also aren't always saved in the documents and it's sometimes hard to find them. So those are a few things that could be easier.
- It did allow us to figure out, we could actually close the credit union on Saturdays. We looked at the cost and without that, I never trusted what I had before. So I was able to see the cost that it took to employ people to be there, the amount of time they were there, which employees were there versus what kind of business we were doing. So we actually were able to close the credit unions on Saturdays instead of having to staff for four hours on Saturdays. That was one of the first big things that we did. After getting Paylocity, I use the data analytics and can easily find our turnover rates and what our retention rates are. If a certain area looks like they might be struggling or a certain age demographic, I can quickly go and get something together to try and figure out what's going on. So that's kind of how I use the data analytics part of it.
Well, it drastically cut down the amount of time we spent on payroll and the integrations that we have with Blue Cross Blue Shield and Fidelity Investments allowed us to stop having to do an extra report and logging into their systems where we can simply, it flows over after payroll every Friday. They get their information, we log in and make the payments and we're done. So that 360 feet is great.
So we use community and we do lots of celebrations in there. We do tons of announcements. We announce all job promotions and new hires, a hundred day celebrations, and we are about to, at the end of the year sign for the rewards. So we'll be able to even post more in there. So our employees love it.
We went through demos five years ago and we evaluated ADP and UKG in the past, and we used Paycor previously. In the past, I've used ADP and Kronos when it was still Kronos at other companies. So several different ones. One of the main reasons was that it was all one platform and you didn't have to log into other platforms for it to communicate with each other. Payroll talks to time that talks back to payroll and you don't have to log into anything separate. The reporting was also really easy and you didn't have to have a master's degree to do it.
